SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to nephrology, and can be used for the purpose of early diagnosis of sarcopenia in people with stage 5D chronic kidney disease receiving treatment with long-term hemodialysis. The stage of protein-energy deficiency is determined using a complex technique, as well as the amount of points according to the SARC-F questionnaire, the muscle strength based on the results of right hand dynamometry, the amount of meters walked according to the results of a 6 minute walk test, the level of creatinine and indoxyl sulphate. The coefficient of probability of the presence of sarcopenia in the patient is calculated based on the original calculation formula, according to the developed diagnostic model. If the level of the coefficient is equal to or more than 0.65, the patient is diagnosed with sarcopenia, if the coefficient is less than 0.65, sarcopenia is ruled out.

EFFECT: method provides a possibility of increasing the accuracy of early diagnostics of sarcopenia in people with stage 5D chronic kidney disease by developing a diagnostic model of sarcopenia.
