SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering and can be used in conducting scientific research in the field of sliding bearings, as well as in the educational process during laboratory work and practical classes in general engineering disciplines in higher and secondary specialized educational institutions. The installation is a rotary support system that includes a shaft driven by a frequency-controlled electric drive, supported by passive and active hydrostatodynamic bearings. In this case, the supply of lubricant to the feed chambers of the active bearing is carried out with separate regulation of its pressure and flow for each chamber using servo valves. The friction moment of the shaft in the bearings is directly measured by a torque sensor installed between the electric motor and the shaft, and the passive bearing seal is made by air with air supply from a compressor station with a pressure reducing valve. The lubrication system of the installation includes a tank with lubricant, a filter, a pumping station, a safety valve and a supply manifold from which the lubricant is supplied to the bearings. The pressure of the lubricant is controlled by pressure gauges and pressure sensors, the radial movements of the shaft are controlled by motion sensors, signals from all sensors are sent to the control, signal collection and processing unit, and an electric frequency controller and servo valves are connected to its outputs.

EFFECT: expansion of the field of research of rotary systems due to the possibility of obtaining additional information about the moment of friction in the bearings and the possibility of changing the tribological characteristics of the active bearing by separately regulating the pressure of the lubricant supplied to it, without taking into account the friction created in the seals.
