FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to valve industry, in particular to axial flow control valves, is intended for control and shutoff of working media of liquids and gases. Control valve comprises external and internal bodies, inlet and outlet branch pipes with flanges, flow divider, plunger with drive of translational movement in the form of rack-and-pinion mechanism. Flow divider is a cylindrical compression spring with one end resting against the annular cavity located in the area of the outlet branch pipe, and with the other one - against the annular cavity in the plunger. In cross-section, spring wire has rectangular cross-section with protrusion and recess of triangular shape on opposite large lateral sides. Coaxially to the compression spring, in its inner volume, there are rods of round cross-section, which are located along the generatrix of the cylinder, and the length of the rods is equal to the length of the compression spring in its fully compressed state.
EFFECT: control valve makes it possible to control flow rate of liquid media, preventing cavitation.
