FIELD: flow cell systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a flow cell system and a corresponding method. The flow cell system comprises a socket containing a base, a plurality of electrical contacts and a lid connected to a base containing at least one first port, the base and the lid together forming a chamber, the electrical contacts passing between the chamber and the outer side of the base, and wherein at least one first port passes between the chamber and the outer side of the closing part; and a flow cell device fixed inside the nest chamber, comprising an unpackaged light detection device containing a base plate part, a plurality of dielectric layers extending over the base plate part, a reaction structure extending over the dielectric layers, which contains a detector surface, a plurality of photosensitive sensors, an electrical circuit of the device passing through the dielectric layers, electrically connected to the photosensitive sensors for transmitting data signals based on photons detected by the photosensitive sensors, and a plurality of light guides associated with the photosensitive sensors, and a cover extending over the surface of the detector with a flow channel between them, wherein the lid comprises at least one second port in communication with the flow channel and at least one first port of the socket, wherein the light detecting circuitry of the flow cell device is electrically connected to the electrical contacts of the socket.
