FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to the production of thin sheet anisotropic electrical steel used for the manufacture of magnetic cores of power and distribution transformers. The metal strip of anisotropic electrical sheet steel is cleaned from fatty and inorganic contaminants after cold rolling. Laser radiation is used in the form of ultrashort powerful light pulses at a radiation power of 60-80 W and a pulse repetition rate of 260-290 kHz.
EFFECT: method improves the quality of the heat-resistant coating applied after said cleaning of thin sheet anisotropic electrical steel, due to a more complete removal of contaminants.
