SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is described, including a method for suppression or, essentially, decrease in the degree of binding of a composition containing a complex formed between cationic linear or branched polyethylene imine polymer and polynucleotide, with negatively charged molecules present in the soil, a method for control of infection with an insect of the Diabrotica genus, the use of a quenching agent, which is glutaraldehyde or monoaldehyde, for, essentially, neutralization of residual positively charged groups in the complex, a composition for control of infection with an insect of the Diabrotica genus, and a method for the production of the composition. In one of embodiments, polynucleotide is dsRNA, and the specified dsRNA provides post-transcriptional silencing of a target gene in a Diabrotica insect.

EFFECT: invention expands the arsenal of means for control of infection with an insect of Diabrotica genus.
