FIELD: biomedicine and nanomedicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biomedicine and nanomedicine, in particular to a method for producing hematite-based particles capable of specifically recognizing and binding to target cells. To implement this method, a suspension of ferrihydrite particles is first mixed with a solution of an acid selected from sulfuric, nitric, hydrochloric, formic, phosphoric and acetic. The specified acid is concentrated, and its concentration after the specified mixing is not less than 50 wt.%. Next, the resulting mixture is incubated at a temperature of 0 to +4 degrees Celsius in order to form hematite particles. Then said particles of hematite are transferred into an aqueous solution with pH of more than 2 with further addition of a positively charged polymer solution to the suspension of said particles for its sorption on the surface of said particles. After that, the conjugation of the receptor specific to the indicated cells with the indicated polymer molecules on the surface of the indicated particles is carried out.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain non-toxic hematite nanoparticles of a controlled size, functionalized with specific receptor molecules, using readily available reagents, in a manner that allows easy scalability of synthesis conditions.
