FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oncology, namely experimental oncology, and can be used to study in an experiment the effect of hypothyroidism on the growth of malignant tumors of various histological structures in animals of both sexes. Non-linear white rats of both sexes reproduce hypothyroidism by administering the drug Mercazolil per os at a daily dosage of 2.5 mg/100 g of weight and a total dosage of 75 mg/100 g of weight. Then, after confirming the state of hypothyroidism, a tumor suspension is injected subcutaneously under the shoulder blade: Guerin’s carcinoma or Sarcoma-45 in a dose of 2 million cells in 0.5 ml of saline solution.

EFFECT: invention provides for the creation of an experimental model of tumor growth against the background of hypothyroidism in rats of both sexes to study the effect of hypothyroidism on the development of malignant tumors of various histological structures in animals of both sexes.
