FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular to pediatric otorhinolaryngology and clinical pharmacology. A method for predicting the nature of the course, etiology and tactics of treatment of exudative otitis media in children is proposed. In children aged 2 to 12 years inclusive with exudative otitis media, blood is taken from a finger. According to the results of the analysis of the leukogram, the indicator of the marker of viral infections (MVI) is calculated according to the formula: MVI = (lymphocytes %) / (monocytes %). With an MVI index from 3.0 to 5.77 inclusive, an acute course of the disease of viral etiology is predicted, requiring paracentesis and the appointment of antiviral therapy rectally with Interferon alpha-2b human recombinant.
EFFECT: invention provides for the determination of the prognosis of the nature of the course, etiology and further treatment tactics in children with otitis media.
