FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for immobilizing probiotic cultures of microorganisms into gel spherical particles based on natural polysaccharides, including dispersing 100 mg of lyophilized mass of probiotic cultures of microorganisms in 10 ml of a polysaccharide mixture, extruding the resulting mixture into a curing agent, as which a 20% solution of calcium chloride is used, at a temperature of 4οC with continuous stirring at no less than 500 r-1 for 5 min, the resulting gel spherical particles are filtered out and transferred to a saline solution, all stages are carried out under aseptic conditions using sterile solutions.
EFFECT: present invention simplifies and accelerates the process of obtaining encapsulated microorganisms, reducing the loss of probiotic cultures when passing through the gastrointestinal tract.
