FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of biotechnology. The invention is a method for producing regenerating plants from sweet potato micro-roots in vitro, relates to the field of agriculture and biotechnology, is intended for in vitro cultivation of sweet potato micro-roots and can be used for mass production of virus-free, genetically homogeneous, high-quality planting material of valuable sweet potato varieties. This is achieved due to the fact that micro-roots containing a stem segment with one axillary meristem are used as the primary explant, which are cultivated on a nutrient medium containing x/g norms of mineral salts according to Murashige and Skoog, as well as hormones: kinetin at a concentration of 0.5 mg/l and indolylacetic acid (IAC) 0.5 mg/l, and microclones are adapted to ex vitro conditions using aeroponics.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to accelerate the process of mass production of virus-free, genetically homogeneous, high-quality sweet potato planting material.
