SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to internal diseases, and can be used to predict the development of flat feet in young people. DNA is isolated from peripheral blood by phenol-chloroform extraction, genotyping by PCR of the rs226794 locus of the ADAMTS5 gene and the rs1470527 locus of the BMP5 gene. When a polymorphic variant A/G ADAMTS5 rs226794 or C/C BMP5 rs1470527 is detected, a high risk of developing flat feet is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides for obtaining new criteria for predicting the risk of developing flat feet by genotyping the rs226794 locus of the ADAMTS5 gene and the rs1470527 locus of the BMP5 gene.
