SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to optics. A method for determining superresonance on high-order Mie modes for a spherical dielectric particle consists in making a spherical dielectric particle from a transparent material for the radiation used, irradiating the dielectric particle with laser radiation. At the same time, the dielectric particle is irradiated with a tunable radiation source, an illuminating wave with a plane wave front is formed, electromagnetic radiation is detected at hot spots around the poles of the sphere along the direction of radiation propagation, the detected radiation is converted into an electrical signal, and the high-order Mie mode superresonance is determined by the maximum signal level at different wavelengths of illuminating radiation.

EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of determining superresonance on high-order Mie modes for spherical dielectric particles of various diameters.
