SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to predict idiopathic male infertility. The ejaculate obtained by masturbation is collected, incubated in a thermostat at 37°C, after which mitochondrial DNA is isolated. The genotypes of polymorphic loci in the mitochondrial cytochrome B (MT-CYB) gene are determined using the TaqMan allele discrimination method. If the CC genotype of the rs527236194 polymorphic variant of the MT-CYB gene is detected, the risk of developing idiopathic male infertility in the form of oligoasthenoteratospermia or asthenoteratozoospermia is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides increased accuracy of infertility prediction by expanding the types of pathologies to be detected: oligoastenoteratospermia and asthenoteratozoospermia.
