SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to diagnose female fertility. Follicular fluid is collected. Follicular fluid samples are incubated with tetrazolium salts. Then, using a colorimetric method at a wavelength of 450 nm, the concentration of reduced formazan is determined, from which the concentration of oxidized nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is calculated. When the concentration of NAD+ is 56–76 nmol/mg of follicular fluid protein, oocyte fertility is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides the possibility of increasing the accuracy, specificity and simplification of diagnostics by assessing the redox potential in oocytes and early aging of eggs by determining the level of NAD+, which makes it possible to identify disturbances in redox processes in eggs, including those associated with oocyte pathology, DNA repair, regulation apoptosis and early aging of eggs.
