FIELD: quartz ceramic products.

SUBSTANCE: for ultrasonic inspection of the surface of quartz ceramic products for scratches. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that ultrasonic waves are emitted and received in a controlled product. According to the proposed method, control is performed by one ultrasonic transducer with a frequency of 5-10 MHz by transverse ultrasonic waves transformed from radiated longitudinal ultrasonic waves, while emitting and receiving waves through an inclined plexiglass prism installed at an angle of 35-45 degrees to the surface of the product, and control the amplitude echo signals reflected once from the surface roughness in a specified time interval, and a single increase in the amplitude of the echo signal indicates the presence of a scratch, and the dimensions of the scratch are determined by the longitudinal-transverse movement of the ultrasonic transducer over the surface of the product. With longitudinal-transverse movement of the transducer, the scanning step is set to no more than half the size of the piezoelectric element of the ultrasonic transducer.

EFFECT: improving the quality of control of quartz ceramic products intended for the manufacture of structural elements of aircraft.
