FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular, to ophthalmology, and can be used for visualizing floating opacities of the vitreous body of the retrolental space by applying high-resolution optical coherence tomography. Biomicroscopy of the eye is performed. If floating opacities in the retrolental regions of the vitreous body are detected, the anterior segment of the eye is scanned using a Spectral Domain OCT SOLIX in the FullRange AC mode with a CAM FullRange AC optical adapter under medical pupil dilation. When scanning with an optical coherence tomograph the patient's eye is fixed on the internal marker of the device and the scanning area is shifted from the cornea to the posterior capsule of the lens and anterior parts of the vitreous body up to 6.25 mm axially by moving the tomograph scanning head towards the eye.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine the exact localization of opacity in the vitreous body in relation to the posterior capsule of the lens using the research methodology.
