FIELD: means for measuring.

SUBSTANCE: method for measuring the weight of liquid in a reservoir of arbitrary configuration includes two stages: the stage of preliminary adaptation of the measurement system to the configuration of the reservoir and the stage of measuring the weight of liquid based on data obtained after adaptation of the measuring system. At the first stage, the measurement system is connected to the source tank; the calibration is carried out, which includes sequential filling of the tank with portions of liquid, determined by the sensitivity of the measuring ultrasonic sensor and the diameter of the tank of arbitrary configuration along its widest part; simultaneously with the filling of the tank, an ultrasonic sensor is sampled, measuring the readings of the height of the liquid column in the tank with their sequential recording in a table stored in the flash memory of the microcontroller of the control unit. At the second stage, the readings of the height of the liquid column are measured by a measuring ultrasonic sensor installed on the upper part of the tank body, using the principle of acoustic location; the weight of the liquid is calculated by searching for the address number of the register corresponding to the number of the portion corresponding to the value of the measured height of the liquid column, and multiplying by the weight of the portion and the pre-measured or tabulated density constant of the measured liquid.

EFFECT: reliable measurement of the current weight of any liquid products for the purposes of accounting and storage.
