FIELD: microscopic measurements.

SUBSTANCE: microscopic measurements performed on blood samples. Result is achieved by determining the degree to which cells of at least one cell type settled in a monolayer within the sample chamber between the placement of the blood sample in the sample chamber and the acquisition of one or more microscopic images by analysing the cells of at least one type of cells within one or more microscopic images, determining how long a blood sample was in the sample chamber from the time the blood sample was placed in the sample chamber until one or more microscopic images were taken, based on the extent to which the cells are at least at least one cell type settled in a monolayer in the sample chamber between placing the blood sample in the sample chamber and obtaining one or more microscopic images, and by performing an additional analysis of the blood sample, the additional analysis includes taking into account how long the blood sample was in the sample chamber from the moment the blood sample was placed inside the sample chamber and until one or more microscopic images was taken.

EFFECT: ensuring identification of errors in measurements and accounting for such errors.
