FIELD: production of structural products using additive techniques.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for producing sized fiberglass consists of applying a sizing, which is 0.5-3.0 wt.% of 1,3-dioxybenzene, onto glass fibre from a solution with a mass concentration of 0.11%-0.63% in acetone, followed by a stepwise increase in temperature to 55°C and simultaneous distillation of the solvent, sized glass fibre obtained by the proposed method, and a polymer fiberglass composite material that contains 80 wt.% of a polymer matrix based on polyesterimide and 20 wt.% of the proposed sized glass fibre.
EFFECT: improved modulus of elasticity and tensile strength of the created polymer-fiberglass composition due to introduction of a sizing component, which increases the wettability of the filler and increases intermolecular interactions between the fiberglass and the polyesterimide matrix.
