SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the embedding medium for obtaining surviving tissue sections of the central nervous system, including a polysaccharide component of agar origin in saline, characterized by using either agarose or agar as a polysaccharide component and additional collagen and introduction to a final concentration the components in the following range, wt.%: 1.5–2.0 of agar or agarose; 0.05–0.15 of collagen.

EFFECT: obtaining surviving sections of normal and tumor tissues of the central nervous system with minimal surface heterogeneity and sample deformation, the quality of which allows to perform high-performance mapping using atomic force and optical microscopy.
