FIELD: analytical chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of the luminescent determination of selenium (IV) is disclosed, which includes mixing a solution of selenium (IV) and 2,3-diaminonaphthalene, heating it, and then cooling to room temperature, while the solution is heated to 50°C, 4,5-benzopiazoselenol formed in an aqueous solution is passed through a glass minicolumn containing a sorbent — silica, chemically modified by groups of saturated hydrocarbon C16 (SiO2-C16), and the luminescence intensity is measured directly on the surface of the sorbent in the column at a wavelength of 577 nm at a wavelength of exciting light equal to 388 nm.
EFFECT: invention provides for a reduction in the detection limit of selenium (IV) and a simplification of the method of its determination.
