FIELD: artillery guns.
SUBSTANCE: gun consists of a frame-carriage, in the centre of which there is a vertical stand, inside of which a steel belt flywheel with a flexible and thin rim is installed. The axis of rotation of the flywheel lies in the plane of the winding of the band. The upper, wider part of the flywheel rim is fixed inside the rack, and the lower, narrow and movable in rotation mode is held in the cocked state by a latch, next to which a projectile is placed on the band. The lower rotation shaft of the rack is connected to the electric motor, and its upper hollow axis - the gun barrel - extends outside the frame. Two curved beams depart from the upper part of the rack, in the cavities of which there are shock-absorbing elements that absorb the residual energy of the band. Shock absorbers are located on the inner surface of the rack.
EFFECT: propelling projectiles at supersonic speed without the use of explosives.
