FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering, in particular to mechanical presses that use gravitational forces in their work. The press in one of the embodiments includes an upper cargo platform carrying ballast, a lower platform and vertical hydraulic cylinders located between them. In the center of the upper cargo platform there is a hydraulic cylinder built into it. The hydraulic cylinder rod transfers pressure to the workpiece directly. The lower platform is made with a steel or reinforced concrete frame. In the second embodiment, the press contains a base platform and hydraulic cylinders carrying a cargo platform. The cargo platform is divided in the transverse direction into sections with the formation of independent platforms, which can be mechanically combined into a single structure. All platforms have constant mass or constant mass platforms except for the central platform equipped with ballast. Part of the ballast can be moved to adjacent platforms.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of processing massive workpieces.
