FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: intended for modulation of transmitted electromagnetic radiation, including use as part of glazing elements and means of visual display of information to provide parametric noise in order to prevent remote reading of information, as well as disruption of the passage of radio signals inside and outside protected premises. The optically transparent device is a thin-film multilayer structure “transparent conductive coating/transparent dielectric coating/transparent conductive semiconductor coating”. The operation of the device consists in applying voltage to the layers of electrically conductive coatings, resulting in a change in the energy spectrum of free charge carriers in the areas of conductive coatings bordering the dielectric layer under the action of an external electric field. This leads to a change in the conductivity of the conductive layers and, as a consequence, to a change in the phase and amplitude of the microwave signal transmitted through this device or reflected from it.
EFFECT: provision of parametric noise of the microwave signal in order to prevent remote reading of information.
