FIELD: medical devices.
SUBSTANCE: heart valve prosthesis comprises an annular body, leaflet fastening units being an integral part of the body, leaflets installed in the body with the possibility of rotation around the axis of rotation between open and closed positions, and a groove for cuff fastening in the outer surface of the body. The annular body on the inner surface is provided with two protrusions having two surfaces: a support one perpendicular to the blood flow to limit the leaflet movement when the valve is closed, and a cone-shaped guiding one forming an acute angle of attack in the direction of the blood flow to exclude stagnant zones and turbulences. The leaflets are convex-concave petals with a reinforced part near the axis of rotation that have two surfaces: an inner concave surface directed along the direct blood flow with the ability to block the blood flow in the closed position, and in the open position to form a single laminar flow forming together with the body a free section, and a curved outer surface directed towards the reverse flow of blood with the ability in the closed position to prevent blood regurgitation and direct the flow of blood to the attachment points for washing them.
EFFECT: ensuring an unhindered blood flow when the valve leaflets are opened and blocking blood regurgitation when they are closed, reducing the risk of injury to blood cells, hemolysis, and increasing the thromboresistive properties of the prosthesis.
