FIELD: medicine; oncology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in combined treatment of locally advanced cancer of the skin of the head and neck. The method includes intraoperative photodynamic therapy with introduction of a photosensitizer before surgical treatment, removal of the tumor bed preparation and irradiation using a fiber-optic catheter with a microlens with a laser radiation power density of 0.08-0.28 W/cm2 and a wavelength of 662 nm. 24 hours before surgery, the patient is administered a photosensitizer Photosens pre-diluted with 0.9% sodium chloride solution once, as an intravenous drip infusion, at a dosage of 0.5-0.8 mg/kg. Wide excision of the skin tumor and training is performed with a laser radiation power at the catheter output of 1.5 to 2.5 W. If the bones of the facial part of the skull are involved in the tumor process, they are resected.
EFFECT: method ensures effectiveness of treatment, significantly reduces the risk of leaving viable tumor cells in the surgical area and reduces the frequency of relapses due to step-by-step complex treatment.
