FIELD: medicine, oncology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for combined treatment of primary locally advanced tongue cancer. 3–3.5 hours before the expected time of the end of tumor removal, chlorin E6 photosensitizer is intravenously dripped at a dose of 1.4 mg/kg. After radical removal of the tumor, photodynamic therapy is performed on the bed of the removed tumor until the wound defect is closed. The manipulations are performed with a wavelength of 662 nm, a power density of 45 mW, light energy at a dose of 200–300 J/cm2.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in the antitumor efficacy of photodynamic therapy for the treatment of primary locally advanced cancer of the tongue by reducing the risk of local recurrence and metastasis and, consequently, improving the quality of life of patients and their survival.
