FIELD: ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: transscleral laser cyclophotocoagulation is performed using an 810 nm diode laser. Two laser strategies are used: micropulse mode in the upper hemisphere and continuous mode in the lower hemisphere with lower laser energy parameters. In the micropulse mode, the power is 2000 mW, the duty cycle is 31.5%, the exposure time is 100 sec and the continuous exposure mode is 1000 mW, which is reduced by 250 mW when there is a “click” sound, the exposure time is 2 sec, the number of pulses is 10.
EFFECT: use of two laser strategies with minimal laser energy parameters, due to potentiation of their hypotensive effect and maintaining the possibility of performing fistulizing operations in the future.
