FIELD: foundry production.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to foundry production using one-time models, namely production of large-sized models for casting from burnt-out models using additive FDM technology, in particular to a method for growing large-sized thin-walled models of engine parts castings using 3D printing technology. The method includes the production of large-sized thin-walled models of castings from natural PLA plastic without impurities, having a low ash content, on an FDM printer with separation of the model from the gating-feed system (GFS), with the growing of hollow GFS elements at speeds up to 150 mm/s, with a percentage of internal filling model and other elements of GFS from 2 to 5%, followed by gluing and sealing of the casting parts.
EFFECT: obtaining homogeneous, sealed, large-sized burnt-out models, characterized by high dimensional accuracy, in a short time with a reduction in labour intensity, manufacturing costs and impurities from the burn-out model.
