FIELD: means of transmitting information.

SUBSTANCE: capability information element is transmitted, containing at least one indicator having: a first value, to indicate support, by the first wireless device, for use of a single user Physical Layer Compliance Procedure Protocol (PLCP) data unit (SU PPDU) in communication with semi-orthogonal multiple access (SOMA) over a wireless network, and a second value to indicate support, by the first wireless device, for the use of a multi-user PPDU (MU PPDU) in SOMA communications over a wireless network, wherein the first SU PPDU used for SOMA communications occupies the entire channel bandwidth of one wireless transmission resource networks for carrying data to respective receiving wireless devices, wherein the first SU PPDU carries data modulated using a first modulation level associated with a first constellation constituent for the first receiving wireless device, and the first SU PPDU carries data modulated using a second modulation level, associated with a second constellation component for a second wireless receiving device, wherein the first and second constellation components are combined to form a combined constellation.
