FIELD: implantology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of treating the surface of bioresorbable magnesium implants, allowing to form a bioactive surface for implantation into bone tissue, and can be used in the manufacture of implants for traumatology, orthopedics and various types of plastic surgery. The proposed method for producing a micro-arc bio-coating from diatomite, modified by pulsed electron irradiation, on a magnesium alloy implant includes micro-arc oxidation of the implant in an alkaline electrolyte containing diatomite, sodium and silicon compounds, while the modification of the micro-arc coating is carried out by the method of pulsed electron irradiation with the following parameters: electron energy 30 keV, duration 2 μs, pulse frequency 0.2 s-1, number of pulses 5, while the energy density of the electron beam varies in the range of 2.5–7.5 J/cm2.
EFFECT: carrying out the above modification of the coating ensures an improvement in the uniformity of the coating, an increase in its adhesive strength, corrosion resistance, a decrease in the rate of bioresorption of the magnesium implant, and an improvement in osteogenic properties.
