SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a system and method for determining stocks of material stacks for a raw material warehouse. The system includes a stacker-collector, a scanning device and a control terminal. Stacks of material in material placement areas are scanned using a scanning device mounted on the stacker-collector boom. Scan data is obtained for each reflection point on the surfaces of the material stacks. The coordinate values of the reflection points in the cross-sectional coordinate system are determined according to the scanning data of the reflection points. In addition, the cross-sectional areas corresponding to the reflection points are determined according to the coordinate values of the reflection points. Moreover, the volumes of material stacks are determined. Stock count of all material stacks in the raw material warehouse can be carried out according to the volume and corresponding density of each stack of material stacks in the raw material warehouse. A method for stock count of material stacks for a raw materials warehouse is also presented. When the system performs a stock count of material stacks (131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 136), the measurement is performed by scanning the material stacks, which greatly improves the precision and accuracy of the inventory count and lays the foundation for a material warehouse without the constant presence of maintenance and operating staff.
EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the volume of stacks due to the elimination of the human factor.
