FIELD: chemistry and medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of obtaining an affinity carrier in the form of a suspension of hydrogel particles based on a modified insoluble polysaccharide for isolating specific RNA/DNA for RT-PCR and/or PCR diagnostics, including the use as an initial carrier a material that is a suspension in the form of a hydrogel of water-swollen particles of an insoluble polysaccharide containing vicinal hydroxyl groups in the carbohydrate unit, according to which the said carrier is processed to form aldehyde groups and obtain an activated carrier and a suspension is prepared from a mixture of water, an activated carrier, DMSO or DMF and an oligonucleotide, in particular, with the addition of a dye to the resulting mixture at a concentration of at least 0.001 mg/ml, and the said mixture is kept for a time sufficient to obtain a covalent bond.

EFFECT: obtaining affinity carriers and providing the ability to isolate virus-specific RNA/DNA for subsequent RT-PCR and/or PCR diagnostics.
