FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: recombinant turkey herpes virus (HVT) suitable for vaccinating poultry against the pathogen has been proposed. The recombinant virus contains at least first and second recombinant nucleotide sequences, each recombinant nucleotide sequence encodes a polypeptide, wherein the first recombinant nucleotide sequence is inserted into an intergenic region of the viral genome located between HVT053 and HVT054, and the second recombinant nucleotide sequence is inserted into an intergenic region of the viral genome, located between HVT064 and HVT070. Proposed: a nucleic acid suitable for vaccinating poultry against a pathogen, containing the genome of a recombinant HVT; a cell containing recombinant HVT suitable for vaccinating poultry against a pathogen; a composition suitable for vaccinating poultry against a pathogen comprising a recombinant avian herpes virus or nucleic acid or cell and a suitable excipient or diluent; multivalent vaccine; the use of recombinant HVT for the manufacture of a multivalent vaccine for immunization of poultry, such as poultry, against a pathogen; the use of a multivalent vaccine that contains an effective immunizing amount of a recombinant avian herpes virus, a nucleic acid according to claim 16 and/or a cell suitable for vaccinating poultry against the pathogen; a vaccination kit for immunizing birds, consisting of the following components: an effective amount of a multivalent vaccine and a means for administering the said vaccine to the said bird.
EFFECT: ensuring the stability of protein expression in CEF cells infected with double recombinant HVT.
