FIELD: experimental biology and medicine; tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
SUBSTANCE: bioreactor for tissue engineering with an aerosol method of supplying a culture nutrient medium contains a container with transparent walls and a hermetically sealed lid, a fitting for draining the nutrient medium, a sprayer of the nutrient medium and an element for fastening the tissue engineering structure. The container is made of a pipe dioptre and contains two lids located opposite each other. To supply the culture nutrient medium, one spray torch from a mesh nebulizer is used. The hole for the adapter for the inhalation chamber of the mesh nebulizer with an open mesh membrane is located in the dioptre cover. In the space of the bioreactor tank there is a frame that rotates with the help of a motor, to which a tissue-engineered structure is attached. The frame is located below the mesh membrane of the mesh nebulizer. The dioptre is tilted towards the dioptre cover with the mesh nebulizer attached. In the lower third of the cover, opposite the dioptre cover with the mesh nebulizer, there is a fitting for supplying a sterile breathing gas mixture into the device.
EFFECT: reduction in the consumption of the culture nutrient medium, a longer retention of the nutrient medium on the tissue-engineered structure, and a reduction in noise and vibration during operation of the bioreactor.
