SUBSTANCE: described is a group comprising a nanoparticle for increasing the available surface area of a substrate for seeding and clustering in sequencing by synthesis (SBS) (embodiments) and a method for increasing seed density and monoclonal clustering in SBS (embodiments). In one embodiment, the nanoparticle comprises a framework, one template site for binding the template polynucleotide to the framework and a plurality of auxiliary sites for binding auxiliary oligonucleotides to the framework.
EFFECT: invention extends the range of means for increasing the available surface area of the substrate for seeding and clustering in sequencing by synthesis (SBS).
