FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to repair of cracks in bells with the help of high pressures and temperatures. Bell is squeezed onto inner block using tremendous pressure generated during explosion. After preliminary preparation of the bell, a block is installed inside it, equipped with a heating system, the outer and inner surfaces of which must match, but at the same time between them there should be a gap with width of 3–5 mm. Outside, the bell is coated with a layer of explosives and, together with the dummy, is installed on a steel platform. Further, they are placed inside a concrete sarcophagus, which is sprinkled on the outside with a layer of sand and soil. After the bell is heated to 620 °C, the explosive is blown up and then the crimped bell is covered with heat insulation.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to repair the bell without using an expensive gasostat.
