METHOD FOR SIMULATING POSTTRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER IN ZEBRAFISH INDIVIDUALS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G09B23/28

Abstract RU 2819381 C1

FIELD: medicine and veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to animal behaviour psychology, psychoneuroendocrinology, experimental medicine, neurobiology and concerns modelling of symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorders in experiments on fish using a modified model of predator stress. Essence of the invention consists in a method for simulating post-traumatic stress disorder in zebrafish individuals, realized by subjecting them to predator stress by a single exposure of a predatory fish, conducting a test with a new aquarium and a mirror test for aggression to identify a vulnerable subgroup of individuals.

EFFECT: invention provides creation of an experimental model of post-traumatic stress disorder in zebrafish.
