FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a biomedical material, namely to a method for producing a collagen matrix based on dry marine collagen. Method of producing a collagen matrix based on dry marine collagen AKSOLAGEN marinum, involving swelling of raw materials in a solution of organic acid selected from formic acid and acetic acid at pH 3–4 for 10–12 hours, with subsequent addition of glutaric aldehyde in amount of 10% of weight of dry collagen and glycerine in amount of 30–50% of weight of dry collagen, freezing at temperature -50 °C, lyophilization at temperature from -50 to -60 °C and subsequent sterilization. Above method enables to obtain a collagen matrix which is not inferior in physical and mechanical characteristics to matrices obtained from cattle collagen.
EFFECT: obtained matrix has a porous structure, less loose, with an average pore size of 140 mcm.
