SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to cell biology and cell therapy. Disclosed is a method for inducing stem cell differentiation into glucose-sensitive insulin-secreting pancreatic beta cells. Method involves converting pluripotent stem cells into mesoendoderm, and then into endoderm, into pancreatic endocrine cells and finally into pancreatic beta cells using certain combinations of mRNA. Also disclosed is a method of producing induced glucose-sensitive insulin-secreting pancreatic beta cells and a method for eliminating or relieving symptoms of diabetes in an individual by administering the produced glucose-sensitive insulin-secreting pancreatic beta cells.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain functional pancreatic beta cells without using growth factors for their production.
