SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the risk of developing presarcopenia. Method includes bioimpedance analysis on apparatus Multiscan BC-OXI for determining muscle mass by analyzing body composition, determination of cardiac output and stroke volume of heart by pulse wave analysis, determination of body weight index calculated by formula: body mass, kg, divided by height squared, m2, and determination of waist volume using centimeter tape. Further, the risk of developing presarcopenia is calculated: Y=−0.109318−0.015226·XWV+1.795193·XBMI−3.027·XCO−0.009565·XSVH−0.873699·XMM %, where XWV is waist volume, cm; XBMI is body mass index, kg/m2; XCO—cardiac output, l/min; XSVH—stroke volume of heart, ml; XMM—muscle mass, %. Obtained value is then substituted into the formula: where e=2.7182818284. If the "p" value is more than 5%, then the risk of developing presarcopenia is high, if the "p" value is less than 5%, then the risk of developing presarcopenia is low.

EFFECT: invention provides simpler, faster and more accurate determination of the risk of developing presarcopenia.
