FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing agrochemical substances. Method of producing the herbicide nicosulfuron involves reacting 2-[(phenoxycarbonyl)aminosulphonyl]-N,N-dimethylnicotinamide with 2-amino-4,6-dimethoxypyrimidine in an aprotic organic solvent medium at temperature of 56-110 °C to form a reaction mass in an aprotic organic solvent upon completion of the reaction, followed by cooling to room temperature. For extraction of reaction mass cooled to room temperature in an aprotic organic solvent of nicosulfuron, aliphatic alcohol C1-C4 is added in amount of 5-95 vol.% with respect to the initial amount of aprotic organic solvent. Obtained suspension of the end product is maintained in the formed mixture of solvents for 1-2 hours and nicosulfuron is extracted by filtration or centrifugation. Aprotic organic solvent used is ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, 1,4-dioxane, 1,2-dichloroethane, chlorobenzene, toluene, o-xylene, acetonitrile or acetone. Aliphatic alcohol C1-C4 used is methanol, ethanol, propanol, isopropanol or butanol.
EFFECT: disclosed method of producing herbicide nicosulfuron provides improved technical and economic parameters of the process by increasing the degree of extraction thereof from the formed reaction mass with output of the end product to 98%.
