FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for cracking heavy fractions of oil, comprising treating a feedstock passed through an active zone of high-frequency plasma action, formed by electric discharge between electrodes located at a certain distance between each other. Method is characterized by that the feedstock flow is turbulized before entering the core, conditions are created for occurrence of high-current discharge of high-voltage AC of high frequency from 50 kHz, plasma is generated by high-current discharge of high-voltage AC sufficient for electric breakdown of raw material layer between electrodes forming annular discharge zone. Invention also relates to a plasma reactor.
EFFECT: reduction of power consumption, simplification of technology of production of gasoline, kerosene and gas-oil fractions.
