HIGH-THROUGHPUT SEQUENCING WITH SEMICONDUCTOR-BASED DETECTION Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC G01N21/64

Abstract RU 2831966 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sequencing based on CMOS arrays. Apparatus for determining bases in a nucleic acid sequence comprises: a receiver holding a biosensor, wherein the biosensor has a sample surface which comprises a plurality of clusters during a sequence of events for analysing the sample, an array of sensors configured to generate a plurality of pixel signal sequences, wherein the array has N active sensors, wherein the sensors in the array are located relative to the sample surface to generate corresponding pixel signals during a sequence of events of analysing samples from the N corresponding pixel areas of the sample surface to generate said plurality of pixel signal sequences, and a communication port configured to output said plurality of pixel signal sequences; signal processor connected to the communication port and configured to receive and processing said plurality of pixel signal sequences to classify results of the sequence of events of sample analysis on clusters in said plurality of clusters, including combining pixel signals for each sample analysis event from N active sensors to classify results of a sequence of sample analysis events from N + M clusters in said plurality of clusters, where M is a positive integer.

EFFECT: high throughput of sequencing using CMOS-based detection.
