FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to experimental medicine, namely to phthisiology and thoracic surgery. Immunosuppressant infliximab in dose of 10 mg/kg is introduced into a marginal ear vein in rabbits. One day later, soft tissues are incised to the pleura, after which a catheter is inserted into the pleural cavity, through which a suspension of Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv strain in concentration of 106 microbial cells in 10 ml of physiological solution and 40 ml of air is introduced.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to reproduce tuberculosis pleura under experimental conditions using minimally invasive surgical approach, which in turn makes it possible to carry out lifetime monitoring of development and assessment of severity of specific inflammatory process from the moment of infection to euthanasia in a specific animal included in the study.
