METHOD OF MAKING MULTILAYER COLLAPSIBLE MICROFLUIDIC CHIP Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2838599 C1

FIELD: microfluidic technologies.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microfluidic technologies and can be used for production of single and multiple emulsions, separation, mixing of several liquids and their analysis. Method consists in formation of multilayer structure, which consists of three transparent cleaned from organic contaminants and glass plates dried at 110 °C for 5 minutes with pre-drilled process holes for inlet and outlet of liquids forming a double emulsion by means of connectors attached to the upper plate. Between the plates there are stencils in the form of layers of a paraffin polymer film with thickness of 0.125 mm with microchannels cut using a cutting plotter or laser. After the multilayer structure is formed, sintering is performed in a drying cabinet for 30 minutes at temperature of 110 °C.

EFFECT: creation of a multilayer collapsible microfluidic chip in the form of a "sandwich structure", containing two or more layers of microchannels, with a small amount of time for its manufacture and without using specialized laboratory equipment and materials.
