FIELD: inorganic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for synthesis of inorganic fluorides, in particular, to a method for synthesis of phosphorus pentafluoride. Phosphorus pentafluoride is synthesized by interaction of red phosphorus with flow of gaseous fluorine and prepared gaseous mixture is treated with a counter flow of gaseous fluorine additionally in the ratio of volume flow rates = 1:(0.05-0.055). Method provides enhancing yield of the end product of high quality and simplifying technology.
EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
