FIELD: metallurgy, more specifically, process for preparation of raw materials for blast-furnace process. SUBSTANCE: method includes successive supply onto moving sintering cars of two layers of sinter burden of different thickness values and with different content values in each of solid fuel; subsequent ignition of burden and building up of rarefaction under sintering cars. Burden is sintered with varying speed of movement of sintering cars and determined by the following relationship: V = K.H.m/h.M, where V is speed of movement of sintering cars, m/min; H, h are thickness values of burden lower and upper layers, respectively, mm; M, m are content values of solid fuel in burden lower and upper layers, respectively, %; K is empirical coefficient characterizing the rate of burden sintering equalling 1.2-4.4 m/min. EFFECT: higher stability and productivity of sintering of sinter burden, increased strength of sinter and sinter yield. 1 tbl
