FIELD: waste gas cleaning systems for internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: member has many passages for flow of fluid medium; one part of passages possesses high resistance to flow as compared with other part of passages; member has at least one zone with high density of passages or large number of passages with increased resistance to flow which is not symmetrical in cross section; it embraces only part of cross section area of honeycomb member. Passages with increased resistance to flow have lesser hydraulic diameter as compared with remaining passages and/or their initial or final section and/or their interior is provided with additional structures obstructing flow. Second member is used for neutralization of waste gases. Mounted in front of second member is another honeycomb member provided with electrical heater. First member is divided in cross section by air gap having form of meander and/or spiral-shaped form; second member has larger density of passages at high resistance to flow opposite air gap as compared with density of passages in other zones of member.
